GETEC presents dual electrification inside – a multi-stage DHT by Mr. Florian Stallforth with the following highlights:
A field of tension between various interacting factors such as installation space restrictions, consumption targets, hybrid functionalities, comfort requirements, market restrictions and cost targets formed the framework for a comprehensive concept search. For the selection, several transmission and engine integration concepts were examined and compared with the benchmark in NEDC consumption simulations. Finally, the target system was systematically filtered out of all available results.
The structure and development process of the resulting 4-speed transmission with dry clutch and electromechanically actuated shifting elements in AMT design is explained in more detail in the article. The advantages of integrating the functions of two electrical machines are also discussed.
In addition to the high level of efficiency due to the design and the choice of components, the present system is characterized by the variable use of serial to parallel hybrid operation. The disadvantages of the AMT design and the theoretically expected loss of comfort are compensated by the interaction of software and hardware and the targeted control of the electrical machines.
